During the Summer of 2023, I was able to collaborate with some classroom language arts teachers and librarians from my local public library for a “Reading Under the Stars” event series for the summer school and book clubs. It was a great success and I’m starting to book them for next summer. I decided that I would like to present on this topic to the larger planetarium community at the international conference this summer. I spoke with my collaborators and got the okay to represent our project (yay!). I sent in the abstract proposal for review and now I’m getting to play the waiting game to find out if it was accepted. 🤞fingers crossed.
